General Apartment Maintenance Technician

We are actively seeking to fill maintenance positions in Wichita at our North Park Residences and Willow Creek Apartment communities. The General Maintenance technician will focus on providing outstanding customer service by timely responding to and resolving maintenance requests from current residents as well as ensuring vacant units are ready for new occupants according to the schedule and company standards.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs in both occupied and vacant units including but not limited to:

• Complete Make-Ready apartment maintenance in a timely manner
• Complete work orders for current residents while providing exceptional customer service
• General building maintenance including appliance repair, carpentry, painting and landscaping
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, machines, and equipment
• Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean work area
• Assist with troubleshooting and performing routine electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs
• Assist with maintaining grounds, including pools and snow removal
• Other related tasks as needed at surrounding properties owned/managed by Peterson Properties

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar position, compensation based on your experience
• Must have your own basic tools and able to use a smartphone or IPAD
• Physical demands include constant walking, standing, climbing stairs/ladders and lifting up to 50lbs on a frequent basis.
• Time management skills, ability to multi-task, and prioritize work
• Successfully complete background and drug screening
• Ability to work an “On Call” rotation – Additional BONUS Pay applies
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
