General Job Description
A construction project assistant is an individual who works in coordination with the team members of a construction project in order to ensure that the construction project moves smoothly from an office administrative standpoint. It is necessary for a construction project assistant to follow instructions accurately. They need good communication skills with projects managers, customers, clients, and other individuals involved in the project team. They also should have puzzle solving skills to align all the pieces of a contract into their correct spots.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Working with the Project Manager to ensure that a construction project is finished on time
- Maintaining a detailed schedule of the project(s) administrative tasks
- Taking instructions of the project manager and implanting them effectively
- Taking part in team meetings of the research and development department as required
- Handles project close-out, collecting warranty information, operation and maintenance manuals in a timely manner for submission to the Project Owner and Project Architect.
- Document tracking
- Composes routine correspondence
- Organizes and maintains files, correspondence and other records
- Prepares outgoing mail and correspondence including emails and faxes
- Assisting with any miscellaneous administrative duties as requested
- Able to recognize and review conflicts in project documents to ensure the correct job plan is followed.
- Work with Field Staff in uploading current documents to ensure the correct job site work is completed

Education and Qualifications
- 1-3 years administrative related experience and/or training preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of Project Management software; Excel Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Word Processing software.
- Knowledge of the construction industry is very beneficial for this position.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screening, and if a job contract requires - to be able to pass a background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
