Job Responsibilities:

Provides, facilitates and supports professional learning for teachers and staff focused on student-centered practices, Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), high impact instructional strategies, and collaborative, data-driven problem-solving that promotes improved student learning outcomes.

Co-facilitates curriculum adoption and implementation efforts by planning and guiding the review and creation of curriculum documents (e.g. Year at A Glance, priority standards, proficiency criteria, common assessments) and the review of instructional materials to ensure alignment with Board policy and the KPS Strategic Plan.

Collaboratively identifies school strengths and needs by facilitating classroom visits to model, support and/or coach integration of PCBE strategies, established curriculum, instructional techniques, classroom management, etc… increasing learning opportunities and feedback loops.

Communicates and collaborates with key stakeholders regarding instructional techniques, curriculum development, professional responsibilities to support a positive culture of learning.

Leads, engages and participates in relevant meetings for the purpose of representing the department/school and ensuring the articulation of building/district goals, meeting the needs of students and staff.

Mentors and supports new teachers and pre-service teachers to sustain growth, quality instruction, and retention.
- Demonstrate willingness to assume leadership positions.
- Demonstrate knowledge of researched-based instructional strategies that engage all students.
- Provide organized, individual and/or group learning opportunities for teachers as needed.
- Provide support in analyzing student assessment data.
- Assist teachers with designing instructional decisions based on assessment data.
- Assist teachers with specific classroom activities when requested.
- Assist teachers in creating materials that are in alignment with curriculum.
- Monitor intervention programs reviewing data, observing and meeting with teachers.
- Model and/or co-facilitate lessons as part of a coaching cycle.
- Work creatively, cooperatively, and establishes positive relationships with colleagues and guardians students.
- Participates in school and district professional development activities.
- Coordinate District and State assessments.
- Coordinate Instructional technology programs.
- Co-facilitates MTSS process and oversees implementation of intervention plans.
- Work with RTI team and staff to implement intervention plans.
- Provide leadership for after school program and summer school plans.
- Use relevant data to make intervention recommendations.
- Participate in parent-teacher conferences as requested.
- Meet regularly and collaborate with District coaches.

- Ability to implement standard based instruction and assessment, and reading interventions across K-5 setting.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree, AND,
- State of Montana Educator license with appropriate endorsements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent successful classroom experience in an elementary school setting.
- Master’s degree in Education.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, lift, and carry items up to 40 pounds.
