Job Responsibilities:
- Provides direct instruction to K-5 students integrating grade level Montana Common Core Standards and school wide learning goals through the robust use of instructional technology.
- Collaborates with staff to ensure technology instruction is tied to Common Core standards.
- Provide opportunities for K-5 students to become proficient in keyboarding.
- Provides mentoring and training to instructional staff to help in the full integration of technology in all K-5 classrooms.
- Assists in the development, implementation, evaluation, and refinement of programs, services, and initiatives related to technology integration.
- Uses knowledge about current ideas, trends, methods, programs, materials, and equipment for technology integration to ensure optimum instructional delivery.
- Works with building principal, instructional coach, IT Department and other staff members to enhance school wide goals through the integration of technology.
- Works with building principal, instructional coach and K-5 staff to facilitate school wide technology assessment systems. (e.g. STAR Reading and Math, SBAC and etc).
- Provide support for technology request and upkeep of all technology systems in the building.
- Models effective instruction incorporating technology integration.
- Meets the diverse needs of students in the classroom by providing an appropriate learning environment.
- Provides quality instruction through effective lesson plan development and outcome based strategies.
- Establishes effective classroom management, safety procedures and behavior expectations.
- Works creatively, cooperatively, and establishes positive relationships with colleagues and guardians of students.
- Participates in school and district professional development activities.
- Attends building and district meetings as required.
- Supports Special Education students by implementing IEPs.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the building administration.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to utilize technology tools/applications, which include but are not limited to: Smart Board interactive whiteboards, iPads, Desktop and netbook computer workstations, Interactive Student Clickers, Document Cameras, Video Production, Podcasting, etc.
- Ability to implement standard based instruction and assessment.
- Skill in the use of technology to enhance instruction and communication.
- Ability to work as a contributing member of effective teaching teams.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree; AND,
- State of Montana Educator license with appropriate endorsement(s).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Recent successful classroom experience in an elementary setting.
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand on feet for extended periods of time, stoop, bend, lift, and carry items up to 40 pounds.
