POSITION SUMMARY
Provide floor leadership through coaching and directing the work of team members for such functional areas :
- Picking
- Truck Loading
- Receiving
- Put Away
- Cycle counting
- RMA Process.
A Lead position may be a temporary position only required for specialized tasks such as training new employees in a specific function / roll or project management within the fulfillment center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
Ensure that the Company Vision statement is used as the primary guide for decision making. Lead and support employee behavior that reflects the term "customer" refers to dealers, suppliers, and all company employees.As directed by management, organize team members to complete tasks according to procedures within time guidelines. Plan work flow, direct employee efforts, and control activities to ensure that assigned tasks are accomplished timely and accurately.Train team member or members in specific function, such as Picking, Receiving, Truck Loading, Put away, and counting. Ensure that trainees clearly understand quality and performance levels expected in accomplishing their tasks.Maintain confidential company records. Limit access to vital operational information and computer information only to authorized personnel.Communicate Petmate’s safety policies and special emphasis safety programs in a uniform and consistent manner throughout our organization so that employee injuries and illnesses can be prevented and compliance with federal, state and local regulations can be achieved.Assist in securing the fulfillment center from internal and external losses due to theft and casualty threats.As directed by the D.C. Manager, inspect and ensure acceptable physical condition of the facility. The facility must be maintained within company cleanliness standards and standard operating procedures.Assist in securing the safe and efficient operation, security, and maintenance of all equipment assigned to the fulfillment center.Working in concert with Management, achieve primary objectives ofEfficiency, integrity and accuracy, in all processesReturns processing compliancePicking and Truck loading complianceInventory integrity and controlReceiving and Put AwayCustomer Service requestsCase and Pallet labelingEmployees must be flexible in work hours available including overtime and be able to respond to varying workloads without prior notice. Mandatory Requirements
Minimum 1 year experience in a fulfillment center
Previous experience driving Forklifts, Order Pickers (Cherry Picker), Reach Trucks, and / or Pallet Jacks Required
Preferred Requirements
3-5 years’ experience in a fulfillment center
