The Materials Handler will safely stage and transport raw materials and finished goods between loading docks, storage, and warehouse areas. Responsibilities include loading and unloading shipments in accordance with documentation and work procedures, as well as participating in inventory processes as needed.
Responsibilities
- Work in accordance with safety rules and actively support safety team
- Maintain a clean and debris-free work area
- Adhere to Quality Management System Procedures
- Receive incoming materials and verify them against purchase orders for accurate shipment, shortages, damages, or defects
- Pick, pack, and load customer orders, ensuring they meet shipping or customer order requirements
- Accurately complete paperwork and maintain organized records for processing
- Transport materials to appropriate locations
- Conduct safety and damage inspections of the warehouse, including dock doors, forklifts, pallets, and other equipment
- Use RFID to scan and track movement of goods in warehouse
- Manage inventory and participate in physical counts
- Perform daily maintenance and inspections of the forklift
- Provide break relief for other material handlers
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
Qualifications
Education
- High School Diploma or GED
Experience
- 1-3 years experience in fast-paced warehouse setting
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
- Data entry and keyboarding skills
- Ability to read work instructions in English
- Commitment to safety and quality
- Proven track record of excellent attendance
- Proficient with weights and measures
- Forklift certification
