As the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will lead and drive Petoskey Plastics’ comprehensive strategies to identify, attract, and hire talent across all locations. You will also be responsible for building community relationships with local high schools, trade, and vocational schools to build a pipeline of talent. In this role you will work closely with the HR leadership team, business stakeholders, and external partners to strategize the sourcing and recruiting plans for our growing business. A key part of your leadership role will be to develop and maintain relationships with business leaders and ensure we understand future hiring forecasts and translate those into the TA resource plans necessary to support the hiring forecasts. You will stay abreast of the internal and external market trends impacting Petoskey Plastics’ recruiting goals. Critical to your success is fully optimizing the automation, technology and resources that support your recruiting efforts while having a keen eye for continuous improvement-based problem solving.
Responsibilities
- Partner with internal business and HR leaders to devise sustainable recruiting plans that meet our immediate, mid-term and long-term hiring forecasts and meet regularly to review progress and updates
- Accumulate and interpret data and metrics that give us insights and aid in the design of best-in- class talent acquisition strategies
- Deliver white glove candidate experience, position Petoskey Plastics to be the employer of choice in each region
- Innovate and develop Petoskey Plastics’ Talent Acquisition programs to identify and build local community talent pipelines
- Monitor the competitive landscape; design and develop creative ideas to strengthen Petoskey Plastics’ competitive position as the employer of choice for top talent
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop creative ways to communicate Petoskey Plastics’ distinctive employer value proposition to targeted diverse talent communities
- Develop external partnerships to promote Petoskey Plastics’ employer brand and identify additional talent communities
- Lead and contribute to special projects and work groups to drive Petoskey Plastics’ talent aspirations
Qualifications
Required
- Minimum of 10 years of experience working in the recruiting industry, in-house or search firm
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Functional expertise in Talent Acquisition and leading large processes, programs or teams
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products: PowerPoint, Excel, Word
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship
Preferred
- Strategic thinker in developing Talent Acquisition strategies and processes in highly competitive talent market
- Demonstrated ability to partner with business leadership teams and hiring managers to execute on Talent Acquisition needs on a tactical and strategic level
- Skilled at bringing order to chaos, prioritizing work in a disciplined and rigorous manner, equally exhibiting “big picture” thinking and attention to detail
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and lead change initiatives
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail; Ability to balance qualitative and big picture impact alongside quantitative analysis
- Strong organizational and process management skills; comfort managing multiple workstreams and prioritizing within a fast-paced, dynamic, high-growth environment
- Experience engaging and partnering with senior executives; comfort engaging with multiple stakeholders across the organization
- Outstanding written and verbal communications, including developing effective presentation materials, influence, and persuasion
- Experience leading, coaching, and developing team members
