Roles and Responsibilities:
Assist with Plant Health Management:
- Learn to identify various plant species and their common health issues.
- Assist in diagnosing plant health problems such as diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
- Support the development and implementation of treatment plans to ensure plant health and vitality.
Support Pest and Disease Control:
- Aid in the safe and effective application of pesticides and other control measures.
- Learn and implement Integrated Pest Management (IPM) strategies to manage and prevent pest and disease outbreaks.
Customer Service and Communication:
- Communicate with clients to understand their plant health care needs.
- Provide basic recommendations for plant health care under supervision.
- Ensure high-quality customer service and maintain positive client relationships.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety protocols to ensure the well-being of oneself, the team, and the environment.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations regarding plant health care and pesticide use.
- Maintain accurate records of treatments, applications, and observations.
Use and Maintenance of Equipment:
- Learn to properly use and maintain tools and equipment necessary for plant health care tasks.
- Ensure equipment is clean, functional, and stored correctly.
Training and Development:
- Participate in on-the-job training to develop knowledge and skills in plant health care.
- Obtain the required pesticide commercial applicator licensing within 90 days of employment.
Monitoring and Reporting:
- Regularly monitor plant health and document any changes or issues.
- Report findings and progress to supervisors as required.
Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient and effective plant health care operations.
- Assist in coordinating tasks and sharing knowledge with peers to improve overall team performance.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Basic knowledge of plant biology and plant health care practices.
- Passionate about tree and soil health.
- Environmentally conscious.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients.
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
