What are the responsibilities and job description for the Credit Supervisor position at Petro Home Services?
As a Credit Supervisor, you will supervise your own team of Retail Credit Representatives and Collectors. Above all, you will use your communication and active listening skills to provide customers with exceptional service.
Your specific duties in this role will include:
- Supervise the Retail Credit Representatives and Collectors
- Assist the Manager and Director of Credit with the day-to-day Credit Department functions
- Review Hold for Credit Lists to make decisions on which accounts should be terminated
- Respond to customer inquiries and communicate with other departments throughout the company to help resolve customer's problems
- Update customer credit files
- Monitor the predictive dialer to maximize results in number of calls handled and payments processed
- Handle escalated calls from the customers
- Write and administer yearly performance evaluations, perform coaching/counseling and progressive counseling when necessary
- Weekly group huddles with the reps to keep them up to date for any departmental/interdepartmental changes
- Must be able to multi-task and be capable of performing other duties as assigned

As a Credit Supervisor, you must be pleasant and professional with an engaging personality and possess the ability to function equally well in both a team environment and independently. You must also be highly detail-oriented and focused with a flexible and adaptable nature. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills as well as the ability to interact effectively with both customers and co-workers.
Specific qualifications for the role include:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to produce in a fast paced environment
- Knowledge of credit reports
- Must be able to work in a team environment as well as able to resolve issues accurately and independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
