Job Description
MARINA MANAGER
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager
STATUS: This is a SEASONAL full-time non-exempt position with overtime available.
SUMMARY: The Marina Manager is responsible for overall management, sales and operations of the Marina and Fuel Docks including supervision of dock workers and responding to after hours calls for service
STAFF: First-line Supervisor for all marina personnel at location
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide for superior service to all dock customers in an effort to promote positive customer relations and maintain/increase business. Responds and directs staff to respond to customer needs, resolves customer related problems. Responds to after hours calls for service at the fuel docks.
Supervise seasonal dock workers including hiring, training, motivating, evaluating, disciplinary actions and terminations in coordination with corporate personnel policies.
Inventory control including ordering, stocking, counting and balancing inventories including working with the office manager and accounting department staff to provide for proper inventory and accounting procedures.
Oversee general housekeeping and maintenance to provide for safe and efficient operations for customers and employees. Keeps all equipment in good working order. Adhere to company and regulatory safety policies and communicate them to employees and customers.
Assist with general plant operations on an as-needed and available basis under the direction of the plant manager.
All other duties as may be assigned involving both marina and general plant operations.

Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills.
Needs to possess ability to remain calm under pressure and represent Petro Marine Services and the Plant in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position requires a high school diploma or GED and valid driver's license. Must be able to work directly with petroleum products. Excellent customer service and supervisory skills, as well as embracement of safety requirements required.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret regulatory and compliance documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from employees, customers, or service providers. Ability to write and effectively communicate utilizing e-mail. Ability to communicate effectively with all employees, customers and vendors to facilitate problem resolutions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs and 75 pounds occasionally, and push/pull a maximum of 350lbs (with assistance of pallet jack). Operate hand truck with heavy inventory loaded, most typically package lube products such as a pallet of 4-8, 5 gallon containers or one 55 gallon drum of lube oil product. Operate a forklift. Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time and participate in moderately active physical duties. Must be able to operate company vehicles. Must be able to use computer, telephone and other general office equipment. May require walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods through out the day. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to move product. Proper lifting techniques required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The performance of this position requires exposure to industrial areas and marine location which requires the use of personal protective equipment such as appropriate foot wear, safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. Industrial areas include hazardous chemicals, fumes, and petroleum by-products. For the most part, exposure is ambient room temperatures, lighting and traditional office equipment as found in a typical office environment.
