Store Associate

Job Summary:

Store Associates are responsible for the day-to-day duties which provide a superior customer service experience. Store associates are to divide daily duties up equally and contribute equally to the success of the store.

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Ensure the cleanliness of the store by completing all inside and outside assigned duties (i.e., empty trash cans and change liners, stock coolers, run cash register, sweep, mop, dust, clean the bathrooms and other duties as assigned)

· Work as a member of the customer service team by ensuring excellent product presentation and treating each customer with respect

· Be a representative of the company by following standards, guidelines and policies

· Complete all expectations of shift duties and assignments

· Complete work carefully to ensure accurate money handling, counting and cash transactions

· Serves customers by helping them select products

· Greets and receives customers in a welcoming manner

· Responds to customers’ questions

· Directs customers by escorting them to racks and counters

· Manages financial transactions

· Alerts management of potential security issues

· Process payments by totaling purchases, processing checks, cash, and store or other credit and debit cards

· Assists with inventory by receiving and stocking merchandise

Required Skills/Abilities

· Cooperate with vendors and team members by contributing equally to shared job duties

· Provide outstanding customer service

· Complete paperwork accurately with attention to detail

· Drive sales through engagement of customers, suggestive selling, and sharing product knowledge

Physical Requirements

· Prolonged periods on feet while working the cash register and cleaning the store

· Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $13.00 per hour
