Shop Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our production operations by assisting with the fabrication and assembly of products. This position requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Assist in the fabrication and assembly of components on the assembly line.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area within the factory or warehouse.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure production goals are met.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Support inventory management by assisting with stock organization and material handling.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a manufacturing facility or similar environment is preferred.
• Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and forklifts.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot basic issues.
• Ability to work effectively on an assembly line and follow detailed instructions.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods as required.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.08 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 60 per week
