Summary
The facilities decommissioning project manager supports all aspects of offshore facility functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all facilities.
This includes but not limited to, daily facilities compliance activities, Pipelines Flushing and Abandonment, Pre-Engineering Feed removal studies and scopes, Structural removals and site clearances.
Duties include running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance, regulatory and decommissioning work, maintaining records, and supervising facilities staff.
Our ideal candidate is well-versed in reviewing structural drawings, facilities management processes and exhibits high multitasking and organizational abilities.
Key Duties
- Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures.
- Ensure that facilities are up to code and accurately follow maintenance protocols.
- Maintain equipment and provisions to meet health and safety requirements.
- Oversee routine equipment and maintenance inspections and audits.
- Assist with the planning & execution of offshore construction scopes of work related to the decommissioning of offshore facilities.
- Review drawings, documents and data associated with offshore facilities and their appurtenances.
- Ability to walk down facilities and use existing engineering/vendor/operational data to identify and analyze potential process changes & improvements.
- Communicate with external contractors, vendors, and stakeholders.
- Assist with the development of the Scopes of Work (SOW) associated with decommissioning activities; to include plans, workflows, schedules, budgets, etc.
- Assist with the development of Authorization of Funds Expenditure (AFE) documents necessary to obtain project approvals.
- Assist with the development of rigging and lifting methodologies and plans related to the decommissioning of offshore structures.
- Support regulatory compliance activities for offshore facilities through the life cycle of each structure.
- Collate Lessons Learned, Service Quality resolutions,
- Ability to create, lead and drive risk assessment sessions.
- Able to travel to field locations in Texas and Gulf of Mexico on a regular basis
Knowledge and Qualifications
- Experience planning and maintaining budgets.
- Ability to understand and decipher structural drawings.
- Knowledge of pipeline flushing and abandonment activities
- Knowledge of structural decommissioning & removal activities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional leadership experience
- College degree in Engineering related field
- 10-year experience in related role
- Risk management and ability to work in this.
Skills & Competencies
- Experience with related industry codes and standards applicable to upstream Oil & Gas operations (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, ASME Section 8, Div 1 Pressure Vessel Code, etc.)
- Ability to lift heavy objects and do other labour-intensive tasks.
- Excellent time management and multitasking skills
- Basic understanding of accounting and finance principles
- Competency in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Project and SharePoint)
