Job Summary
The Construction Superintendent shall oversee daily construction operations to ensure that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with safety and quality standards. This includes managing schedules, labor, and resources, while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and building codes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Manage daily construction operations, including scheduling, labor management, and resource allocation.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations, building codes, and company policies.
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, tradespeople, and on-site personnel.
- Regularly conduct site inspections to maintain quality control and safety standards.
- Monitor project progress to identify and resolve delays or issues, keeping work on schedule.
- Manage material deliveries and inventory to prevent shortages or waste.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all site activities.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to provide updates and address any concerns.
Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure accurate project execution.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., engineering, business administration).
- Proven leadership, interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency using construction software.
- Experience with service management software is a plus.
- Prior retail and commercial fueling experience with underground/aboveground tank systems is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings is advantageous.
5-10 years in construction, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
