Job Description:
This position you will train as a service technician to do routine maintenance and troubleshooting on our customers’ equipment. Provide support to senior service technicians while learning how to install, program and test new petroleum equipment. Analyze electrical and mechanical problems and provide repairs as required. Perform scheduled repairs and preventative maintenance to fueling systems. Communicate with customers and explain technical issues in a non-technical manner. Successfully complete Service Technician Training and corresponding training modules.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in conducting routine inspections and maintenance tasks at service stations, including checking fuel dispensers, underground storage tanks (USTs), piping systems, and other equipment.
- Supports the troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment malfunctions, leaks, and performance issues under the guidance of experienced technicians.
- Participates in preventive maintenance activities.
- Assists in the cleaning, painting, and general upkeep of service station facilities.
- Aids in the installation, basic repairs, adjustments and replacement of equipment, parts, and accessories, including fuel nozzles, hoses, filters, meters, signage, and lighting fixtures.
- Assists with inventory management tasks.
- Follows established safety protocols, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and hazard communication standards to minimize risks of injury.
- Maintains accurate records of work performed, equipment inspections, maintenance activities, and inventory usage.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to follow instructions, work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong knowledge of hand tools usage and various types of telecommunication instrumentation devices.
- Basic understanding of safety protocols.
- Heavy work frequently working in difficult work positions and/or with physical demands such as continuously lifting/moving materials greater than 70 pounds.
- Must be capable of climbing ladders to install and retrieve equipment.
- Job requires frequent kneeling, bending, handling, reaching and standing.
- High school diploma or equivalent education required.
- 1 year of electrical, mechanical experience
