Director of Business Development
This staff position oversees sales and promotion of PEI advertising and sponsorship products. The Director of Business Development works closely with all PEI staff to achieve participation, engagement and revenue goals for PEI. The responsibilities below are not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties of the position. This position supports the overall goals and objectives of PEI through additional responsibilities. This position reports to the Associate Vice President—Member Relations.
Essential Functions of the Role:
- Manage a sales team of 2, focusing on hitting annual company sales targets.
- Manage fulfillment process for all advertising products
- Act as the central point of contact and “face” of PEI for sales related fucntions
- Assist in the development and coordination of related marketing campaigns and advertising deadlines
- Manage the development of new advertising revenue channels
- Develop, research and identify strategic opportunities to engage new audiences and partners
- Manage Procurement process for sales department
- Develop, maintain and implement all ad operations processes and procedures
- Manage the accounts receivable process for sales department to ensure timely payments
- Directly responsible for sales of sponsorships for PEI events in addition to managing the PEI Priority Club- PEI’s exclusive membership club.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Educational Background– Bachelor’s degree in related field a plus. Or three to five years’ experience in industry and field.
- Work Experience– 5 years’ minimum experience in a sales or project management role required. Prior experience in a non-profit association, specifically in a sales role is a plus. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and proficiency with client management database program(s) or comparable equivalent is a plus.
- Management or supervisory experience a plus.
Physical/Travel Abilities:
- Position requires 40% travel.
- Position is expected to attend most of PEI’s member events, some weekend travel will be required.
- Some occasional light lifting.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
