ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assertively prospect and solicit new branded business development in the retail gas station market throughout New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
- Identify opportunities through customer relationship engagement, account management, and external resources of existing and future clientele.
- Generate new leads through cold calling, canvassing, customer referrals, and business partnerships.
- Maintain a strong sales funnel through the use of various scouting and surveying techniques while focusing on establishing relationships with prospective and current customers.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of PMG’s branded fuel supply partner’s marketing programs.
- Stay up-to-date with industry news, trends, and competition.
- Achieve the sales objectives established by the New Business Development Director.
- Attend trade shows and association meetings as needed.
- Build and promote strong, lasting relationships with customers by understanding their needs and target goals.
- Perform any other job-related instructions and/or duties assigned.
- 3 years of outside sales experience is required. Previous engagement in Convenience Store and/or Fuel Industry sales are advantageous.
- Associate’s degree is required, bachelor’s degree is preferred
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, and CRM systems with basic personal computer operation skills required.
- Proficiency in using CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software to effectively manage an opportunity pipeline.

- Strong prospecting skills required for uncovering opportunities for petroleum supply contracts within the region through cold calling to develop a solid sales funnel. Job functions are performed primarily in the field via direct calls with prospective retail gas station customers.
- Positive thinker with high energy, ambition, reliability, persistence, punctuality, goal-driven, and self-motivated.
- Strong interpersonal skills with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Good analytical skills.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Ability to travel approximately 35% or more of the time, with some overnight travel as needed.
- Availability during early morning hours and evenings.
- Knowledge and experience in customer management /relations.
- Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group settings to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
- Ability to remain in a stationary position to perform necessary tasks.
- Frequent operation of a motor vehicle.
- Exposure to outdoor weather conditions due to necessary travel.
- Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
- Ability to operate, position, and transport necessary equipment to conduct job duties such as laptops, telephones, calculators, printers, etc.
- Requirement of good manual dexterity, coordination and stamina.
