You'll be operating heavy equipment to support our operations, including staging equipment and loading trucks. Work Schedule : Monday- Friday 6am-2pm with opportunity for overtime as needed
Job Duties & Responsibilities :
- Primary duties are to execute the movement of container / chassis in the yard via reach stacker and other heavy equipment
- Operate as required to accomplish cargo movements safely and effectively.
- Inspect equipment daily to ensure safe incident free operation.
- Perform general inspections on all equipment handled.
- Report any maintenance items to the maintenance team and Yard leadership as to prevent any equipment downtime.
- Perform physical yard inventories for containers and chassis, investigate discrepancies as required
- Guide the team in Operational Excellence through continual communication and planning with Yard Leadership
- Assist the heavy equipment operators with traffic flow
- Performs all other job duties as assigned by the Manager.
