Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Petroleum Tank Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting, testing, and ensuring the integrity of petroleum storage tanks in compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and perform testing on petroleum tanks to ensure they meet safety standards, regulatory compliance, and environmental guidelines.
- Safely test tanks for leaks, pressure levels, and other integrity assessments using specialized testing equipment.
- Operate and maintain testing equipment, including pressure gauges, vacuums, and pumps.
- Prepare detailed reports documenting testing results, including any issues or corrective actions required.
- Work closely with maintenance and operations teams to resolve any tank-related problems.
- Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Operate a commercial vehicle to transport testing equipment and materials to various locations.
- Assist with other duties related to tank maintenance and repair as required.
- Maintain proper documentation for all work performed, including regulatory compliance and safety certifications.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in petroleum tank testing or a similar field.
- Strong understanding of tank testing procedures, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
- Ability to operate specialized testing equipment and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, team members, and regulatory agencies.
- Ability to lift heavy equipment and perform physical tasks related to tank inspection and testing.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a variety of outdoor conditions.
