Petrolink Energy, LLC is a midstream gathering, processing and treating company with over 3,500 miles of pipeline in 22 counties, largely in eastern Oklahoma. Petrolink Energy, LLC deals with a wide spectrum of contracts related to the energy industry for a variety of product types. The company is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Revenue Accountant. This position will report to the Director Revenue Accounting.
The Revenue Accountant will work closely with Management, Operations and Accounting groups to ensure completeness and accuracy of the Gross Margin accounting. This role will be responsible for the accounting functions for the volume allocation, revenue and deductions associated with wells, pipelines and facilities, perform sales variance analysis and reconciles accounts receivables and general ledger; prepares various regulatory reports as well as ad hoc assignments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for revenue accounting close
- Record oil, gas, condensate, and liquid revenues and volumes
- Process and post prior period adjustments for volume, price, and costs
- Monthly reconciliation of volumes and values from producer statements to plant statements
- Prepares federal and state royalty and tax reports and makes related general ledger entries to record/clear payments
- Prepares gas balancing statements and pipeline reconciliation reports
- Prepares sales variance analysis
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field
CPA preferred
Specific Knowledge/Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years accounting experience in the energy industry is preferred
- Strong computer skills and proficiency in MS Office
- A solid understanding of accounting processes, and GAAP
- Proficient in Excel and oil & gas accounting software, ie. experience in W Energy (Waterfield) a big plus
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to work on multiple projects throughout the day simultaneously while maintaining accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with coworkers and clients
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Detail oriented and accuracy is a must
