JOB SUMMARY
? The Facilities Technician performs a wide range of general labor tasks around the facility and grounds. Works to complete general facility maintenance items focusing on janitorial/ custodial. Is responsible for trash cleanup and routine cleaning. The technician also works as part of the grounds crew to maintain upkeep of the yard.
Responsibilities:
- Yard and Grounds control; cleaning up facility yard by picking up scrap metal and wood pieces, picking up accumulated trash and wastes around the yard and border of the property and facility. Mowing and Weeding the grounds, work on various projects as needed.
- Custodial duties; removing garbage cans and waste from shops and putting into dumpsters, cleaning and stocking bathrooms, and keeping cleanliness of bathrooms and breakrooms, and other areas of the facility.
- General facility maintenance: replace lights, install fixtures and cabinets and doors, renovation projects, painting walls, make repairs and work on breaks/leaks, other maintenance items. Assist with machine and equipment maintenance, cleaning machines free of dirt, oil, grease, etc.
- Other general duties as assigned
Skills & Experience:
- High school diploma or GED
- Proven experience with power tools, manual and hand tools, knowledge of different tools.
- Previous remodeling construction experience
- Previous lawn or landscaping experience
- Custodial and housekeeping experience
- Troubleshooting and repairs; some plumbing is a plus.
- Demonstrate ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to perform moderate physical work which includes lifting and crawling, and to remain outdoors in inclement weather.
- Comply with all Petrosmith EHS policies and procedures by following company directives related to EHS standards. Demonstrate ability to operate work and accomplish task while ensuring safety.
- applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and company directives related to building operations and work safety, and demonstrated technical ability in the repair and maintenance of industrial HVAC and plumbing systems
