What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loader position at Petrosmith Equipment?
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.
- Label products and place them accordingly.
- Identify and locate the right products during the delivery process.
- Maintain a well-organized and updated account of stock and inventory.
- Conduct regular maintenance to keep all material handling equipment in the best condition.
- Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Load materials into vehicles and install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit, using hand tools.
- Convey materials to or from storage or work sites to designated areas, using a hand truck, electric dolly, or other devices.
- Assemble crates to contain products using hand tools.
- Operate heavy construction equipment as necessary.
Job Requirements:
- Forklift certification.
- Ability to operate heavy construction equipment (telehandler, large wheel loader-35 ton with forks)
- Sufficient mobility, strength, flexibility, hearing, and sight to access all job-relevant areas and perform routine activities necessary to deliver required results.
- Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team and model effective team behavior.
- Ability to work overtime with little notice.
