Position Summary:
The individual in this position will be key in supporting the company’s overall business strategy and supply chain initiatives. This individual will provide analytical, organizational, and process support to drive inventory optimization. Position Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and minimum 3 years of experience in Demand Planning, Merchandise or Retail Planning, Forecasting, Replenishment, Supply Chain or related function
Proven ability to work effectively across teams and organizational boundaries, fostering collaboration between Sales, Production, and Warehouse/Logistics teams.
Strong data analysis skills with ability to quickly interpret findings and drive actionable insights
Strong understanding of inventory planning processes, supply chain operations, and best practices in demand forecasting
Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail while managing multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills, with the ability to work independently
Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced environment while being forward-thinking and reactionary to evolving business needs
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and ability to learn and adapt to of adapt to new tools and systems
Key Responsibilities:
Enhance forecasting accuracy and fill rates by analyzing sales trends, demand patterns , and supplier performance
Oversee demand planning and replenishment at the SKU level to maintain optimal stock levels while minimizing excess inventory
Forecast future supply needs , proactively address supplier issues, and collaborate with vendors to ensure timely replenishment
Maintain continuous communication with factories and warehouse to ensure accurate and timely inventory flow
Maintain appropriate safety stock levels to mitigate supply chain disruptions while avoiding overstocking
Monitor aged inventory levels, proactively partnering with Sales to identify potential sales opportunities and minimize excess stock
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Production, Warehouse/Logistics) to align inventory planning with business objectives, product launches, and promotional events
Identify and mitigate inventory risks, proactively recommending solutions to minimize business impact
Analyze SKU performance to support rationalization efforts, including discontinuation when necessary
Manage inventory needs for new product launches and coordinate phase-outs for discontinued SKUs to prevent obsolescence
Coordinate with the warehouse team on inventory allocations and distribution strategies
Optimize stock distribution across multiple warehouses to balance regional demand
Ensure data accuracy in inventory management systems through regular audits and reconciliations
Drive process improvements to enhance inventory planning, reporting capabilities, and overall operational efficiency
Conduct various inventory-related ad-hoc analyses to support strategic decision-making
Salary : $75,000 - $90,000
