Veterinary Technician (RVT)
Seeking a compassionate, skilled, upbeat Veterinary Technician (RVT) to join our tight-knit team.
Hiring bonus of $2500.00 for successful candidate! Weekend shift differential and overnight shift differential.

Who are we looking for?
Please have a positive personality, be capable of effective communication, enjoy working in a fast-paced team environment, multi-task like a pro, and have a well-rounded skill set and solid knowledge base. We prefer someone with at least one year of experience working as a technician in a veterinary hospital.
Responsibilities include:
1. Assist with ultrasound and CT imaging for a variety of species, primarily small animals, with occasional work on exotics.
2. Able to facilitate transferring patients between buildings for ultrasound.
3. Prepare patients for imaging, ensuring proper positioning, and comfort.
4. Proficient in various sedation and anesthesia protocols and monitoring.
5. Maintain and calibrate ultrasound and CT equipment to ensure optimal performance.
6. Follow safety protocols to ensure the well-being of patients and staff.
7. Assist in additional diagnostic imaging procedures (e.g., radiographs and CT) as needed.
8. Maintain the cleanliness and inventory of the Radiology department.
9. Proper use of all hospital equipment
10. Use of professional medical language
11. Actively participate in onboarding and training of new and existing team members to ensure a supportive and knowledgeable work environment.
12. Professional/compassionate client communication
13. Communicate with other team members in a professional manner at all times, especially when directing on tasks.
14. Safely restrain dogs, cats, and other animal patients. Use safety equipment when needed – cat bags, muzzles, protective towel wraps, e-collars, and back supports. Always ask for help if you do not feel confident or competent to work with a patient.
15. Attend all scheduled staff meetings.
16. Attend CE whenever possible (online, internal opportunities, outside
opportunities, reading materials, etc.)
17. Be capable of working in a fast-paced medical environment for extended periods of time.
18. Due to the nature of our 24 hours hospital setting, some shifts may include nights, weekends & holidays. Shifts may go beyond the scheduled times due to heavy caseloads.
