We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant Summer Intern to join our finance team for the summer. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in accounting processes, financial reporting, and analysis. You will work closely with our accounting team and contribute to daily tasks, helping to ensure accurate financial data and smooth operations.

- Assist with Financial Record Keeping: Support the accounting team with tasks such as data entry, maintaining accurate ledgers, and ensuring all transactions are recorded properly.
- Assist in Financial Reporting: Help prepare and review financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements. Provide data analysis and report any discrepancies.
- Account Reconciliation: Assist in reconciling accounts, including bank accounts, general ledger, and other related transactions.
- Support Month-End and Year-End Closing: Assist with the preparation of monthly and year-end closings, including journal entries, accruals, and financial adjustments.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Help analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies. Provide insights for decision-making and reporting purposes.
- Assist with Audit Preparation: Help prepare documentation and schedules for internal and external audits. Support the auditing team by gathering necessary information.
- General Administrative Tasks: Provide administrative support to the accounting department, including filing, organizing financial documents, and other ad-hoc tasks.
- Education: Current enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Junior, Rising Senior or Graduate status preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, etc.)
- Familiarity with accounting software is a plus (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar)
- Analytical skills and attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience: Previous internship or coursework in accounting or finance is a plus but not required.
