Job Summary
This role focuses on developing and implementing safe, cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods, ensuring adherence to product specifications and quality standards.
The Manufacturing Engineer will recommend and implement process improvements, coordinate new or revised product launches, and manage small to large-scale projects according to strategic company initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage project milestones, develop countermeasure plans, and escalate when necessary.
- Lead assembly efficiency initiatives to reduce costs and prepare project proposals for upper management.
- Evaluate new and current processes, tools, and equipment to eliminate safety hazards through risk assessments.
- Employ Lean Manufacturing techniques and engage team members in continuous improvement culture development.
- Daily problem-solving to address safety, quality, and delivery issues, using root cause analysis techniques.
- Design and develop new process equipment, tooling, and QA devices to meet customer requirements.
- Initiate and manage changes through the EC system and maintain work instructions and quality control documentation.
Requirements
- 3 years' experience in Manufacturing Engineering or project management.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Solid Modeling Software, and ERP software.
- Experience in safe work environments, capital improvement, and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Lean Manufacturing experience and capable of managing multiple projects with varying complexities.
- Able to direct and/or supervise a project team and oversee all activities within a project.
