Our work includes construction services for public works, water resources, wastewater treatment plants (WWTP), and site development. Your Responsibilities as a Front End Loader Operator

As a Front End Loader Operator at Petticoat-Schmitt, you’ll need a solid background running a front end loader, ideally on a grade or punchout crew.

• Operate front end loader to move materials and load dump trucks.
• Assist with setting up string lines and gather tools
• Use hand tools such as cut off saw, wrenches, tampers, jackhammers, levels.
• Install dewatering systems; sumps, Kelly wells, well points and sock drains.
• Maintain a pre-operation equipment safety checklist

Requirements for the Front End Loader Operator Position at Petticoat-Schmitt:

• At least 6 months experience working as a Front End Loader Operator on a Pipe Crew
• Ability to read grade stakes
• Ability to use a tape measure
• Experience with Rigging and hoisting
• Experience with Safe trenching and sloping, and correct ladder entrance/exit placements
• Must have own hard hat, steel-toed boots, safety vest, and orange shirt and wear for the interview
• Must have reliable transportation and be willing to commute within a 50-mile radius around Jacksonville and surrounding areas, including counties of Nassau, Clay, Duval, and St. Johns
• Must be available to work overtime and weekends as needed
• Must be willing to undergo a background check
