Your Responsibilities as a HydroVac Truck Driver
The HydroVac Truck Driver will be responsible for all activities related to the HydroVac Truck and its operation, including responsibility for ensuring efficient and effective performance of the work. This position will report directly to the Fleet Manager. The HydroVac Truck Driver will be responsible for excavating potholes for utility locating, cleaning, and removing debris from manholes, sewer lines, storm drains, and other conveyance structures. Drive and operate the Hydrovac Truck.
- Actively participate in the daily job briefings
- Wear Personal Protection Equipment at all times without being reminded.
- Follow safety rules and demonstrate safe job site behaviors including traffic control.
- Communicate clearly and professionally using Verbal and Non-Verbal (Hand-Signals) communication.
- Demonstrate a positive self-motivated attitude.
- Setup tools at job site including vacuum hose, and other miscellaneous tools as needed.
- Operate vacuum hose during vacuum excavation.
- Keep the job site clean and organized by keeping tools sorted and out of the way of other people, traffic, and crews.
- Place tools and equipment back in their proper location at the end of each shift.
- Help keep the vacuum truck clean and organized by removing asphalt, rocks, debris, and trash.
- Miscellaneous tasks as needed to complete the excavation job and return to the equipment yard.
- Report any incidents or accidents promptly and follow company protocols.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures related to driving and safety.
- Always seek to improve procedures that improve tracking, communication, and efficiency.
- Serve the goals and objectives of Petticoat-Schmitt Civil Contractors, Inc.
- Maintain the Petticoat-Schmitt Code of Conduct.
- Is an ambassador of the company and follows our company values (A.C.T.)

Requirements for the HydroVac Truck Driver Position at Petticoat-Schmitt:
- CDL Class A or B with Tanker Endorsement
- Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform the duties and responsibilities of this job while exposed to Floridas inclement weather for long periods of time.
- Ability to lift 90 lbs. minimum using proper lifting form.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others.

Hours Information:
- Normal hours are M-F, 7am 3:30pm
- Hours can extend depending on production needs.
- Some Saturdays as necessary. We are off on Sundays.
- We plan on working 40-45 hours per week. Overtime is likely but not guaranteed.
What we need from you:
- Pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen. Some of our clients require random drugs screens as well. This is a requirement for the job, so if you have concerns about being able to pass, please dont apply.
