Part-Time Referral Coordinator

Reports to: Hospital Manager (Local) and Director of Referral Coordination (Corporate)

Job Summary: The Referral Coordinator’s main objective is to develop and nurture relationships with the local referring veterinary community while simultaneously establishing and maintaining all marketing strategies to meet the hospital’s objectives. The Referral Coordinator will execute marketing plans and programs both short and long range, to ensure the constant profit growth and expansion of the hospital services. The Referral Coordinator will research, analyze and monitor financial, technological and demographic factors to capitalize on market opportunities and minimize the effects of competitive activity. The Referral Coordinator will evaluate market reactions to advertising programs, ensuring a timely adjustment of marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions.

Essential Functions:

• Maintain regular communication with referring veterinarians via daily/weekly travel & in-person site visits
• Maintain detailed tracking log of daily site visits/phone calls & marketing progress
• Address any complaints or issues brought forth by referring veterinarians
• Manage & coordinates all marketing, advertising & promotional activities for ACNYVS & UVM
• Analysis of customer research, current market conditions & competitor information
• Liaise with media & advertising vendors
• Monitor market trends while forecasting & formulating a strategic plan to ensure profitability & staying current on industry best practices
• Coordinate all CE lectures and Lunch & Learns lectures for ACNYVS & UVM
• Maintain all social media accounts for ACNYVS & UVM
• Research & attend local community events for marketing/advertising purposes
• Maintain up-to-date marketing materials to be used for promotion of hospital services
• Monitor & maintain ACNYVS & UVM websites
• Monitor & maintain all review sites (Yelp, Google Business, etc.)
  
  

Requirements:

• Willingness to utilize personal vehicle for daily travel (with mileage reimbursement)
• On non-travel days, willingness to work on-site in both Farmingdale, NY and Bohemia, NY
• Willingness to build and expand business in local area
• Flexibility with schedule and ability to work in an unstructured environment
• Customer service experience, required.
• Veterinary profession experience, preferred.
• Marketing experience, preferred.
• Management experience, preferred.
  
  

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma, required.
• Undergraduate degree in the area of business or marketing, preferred.

Pay Range

$20—$23 USD
