Veterinary Assistant

PetWell Clinic is a Veterinary practice expanding in New Hampshire, and looking for a part time Assistant in Manchester, NH. We provide non-surgical, urgent and routine care for cats and dogs in a convenient and affordable manner.

Duties:

• Assist Veterinarians in providing care for patients
• Check Clients In/Out
• Provide pricing and process
• Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
• Prepare and sanitize examination rooms and surgical areas
• Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
• Perform basic laboratory tests, such as blood work and urinalysis
• Clean and maintain equipment and supplies
• Educate pet owners on proper animal care and nutrition

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of animal behavior, handling, and restraint techniques
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Compassionate and caring attitude towards animals
• Ability to work well in a team setting
• Please note that this position does not involve dog training or pet grooming. It is primarily focused on providing support to veterinarians in a clinical setting.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 8 – 24 per week
