Order Management Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY

Oversee the process and tracking of customer orders from the time an order is received through ship confirmation. Communicate professionally and effectively both internally and externally. Maintain accurate records and reports. Manage staff. Support and back-up other Order Management Department staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Manage the end-to-end order processing function, from order entry to delivery.

· Ensure orders are processed accurately and in a timely manner, meeting all customer expectations and company standards.

· Oversee the preparation and issuance of sales orders, shipping documents, and invoices.

· Coordinate with the Inventory Management team to ensure stock levels are adequate to meet customer demands.

· Implement strategies to minimize order delays due to inventory shortages.

· Lead, mentor, and develop the order management team, ensuring high levels of performance and motivation.

· Serve as the primary point of contact for customer order-related inquiries and issues.

· Resolve order discrepancies and issues promptly, maintaining high customer satisfaction

· Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to order management and fulfillment.

· Generate regular reports on order status, fulfillment rates, and any issues affecting order processing.

· Analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement.

· Maintain accurate and organized records of all order transactions and communications.

· Creating and updating SOPs for department job functions.

• Support and train order management staff.
• Managing the EOM closing process for Order Management Department
• Perform other duties shared by the Order Management Team as needed/assigned.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Strong dedication to teamwork, problem solving and time management
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to organize, prioritize, follow-up and meet deadlines
• Strong knowledge of MS Outlook
• Must have experience with Excel
• Experience working in an ERP (enterprise resource planning) system which provides distribution and supply chain management
• 3 years of experience in order management/fulfillment
• College degree preferred

SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

• Prior experience with order processing for big box retailers
• Prefer experience in various excel functions (v-lookup, filter, sorting) and pivot tables but will train if candidate has strong foundational skills
• Previous experience with SAGE 500 (ERP system) & EDI

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to stand, bend, stoop, sit, walk, twist and turn.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
• Work environment is indoors, majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.

SALARY RANGE:

The base range for this position is $55k - $60k. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job.
