What are the responsibilities and job description for the Global Business Development Director position at Pexip?
We are looking for a global business development director with strong capabilities across strategy development, relationship building and execution to join our Strategic Alliances and M&A team in Oslo.
Responsibilities/key activities
- Develop and sharpen Pexip’s strategy in the company’s key markets
- Identify missing capabilities and blockers to succeed in strategy execution, and develop execution plans to overcome those
- Prospect and develop global and local partnerships required to succeed with the company’s strategy in its markets
- Manage partner relationships and coordinate local execution with such partners
- Coordinate and support product management and local sales teams
Furthermore, the Global business development director will also drive a number of key priorities, such as M&A, specific project management and work with senior management on key priorities.
Personal skills
We believe you are highly talented, with a minimum of a master’s degree in business from top-tier universities. You have around 5 years of experience from management consulting, which will be beneficial, as the role requires analytical, communication, and project management skills.

What does success look like in the first 12 months
The initial focus of the role will be to work with product management and local sales teams on sharpening our value proposition and accelerating execution in our Secure & Custom business area.
When successful, you will have:
- Clearly identified key use cases/markets within Secure & Custom
- Clearly identified what it takes to win in those target markets, including key partner relationships and competitors
- Developed an internal execution plan with identified blockers to success, and built alignment and commitment to a concrete plan to overcome those across Sales, marketing and Engineering
- Developed relationships with at least two key partners, understood their motivation to engage, and agreed on a win/win business model
- Secured one or more joint “hero” wins with those partners to validate the business opportunity and help drive engagement in Pexip and with the partner
