IT Team Lead

What will you do? 

As the IT Team Lead in Pexip, you will be leading Pexip’s corporate IT operations and strategy execution. You will be a champion for defining, scaling, and operating Pexip’s global corporate IT processes. 

The position reports to the Head of Information Security and Technology and collaborates with other departments to align IT strategies with the company's overall goals. It is expected that you work from our office in Oslo, Norway. 

Is this the right role for you? 

The ideal candidate has 4 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in computer science or similar. You are a service-minded and hands-on technical leader with a good understanding of technology and a deep knowledge of user focused IT systems. Leadership skills are a requirement as you will be leading a global IT team. In addition, we are looking for a candidate that is successful in doing the following: 

• Oversee day-to-day operations: Supervise the team's execution of tasks, ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards. 

• Problem resolution: Troubleshoot technical issues and resolve escalated problems. 

• Project management: Manage the planning, execution, and completion of projects within the team, including the implementation of new software and hardware, security measures, and training programs. 

• Team coordination: Facilitate collaboration and communication within the team and with other departments. 

• Performance monitoring: Track team performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide feedback and guidance to team members. 

• Training and development: Support the ongoing development of team members' skills and knowledge. 

• Vendor management: Liaise with external vendors and service providers. 

• Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant IT standards, regulations, and company policies with the help of our compliance team. 

 What kind of skillsets are important to have? 

• Technical expertise: Strong understanding of IT systems, software, and hardware relevant to the tasks listed, including end-user support, security, infrastructure, and cloud technologies. 

• Problem-solving skills: Analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot technical issues and identify solutions. 

• Industry knowledge: Familiarity with current IT trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. 

• Organizational skills: Strong organizational and time management skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. 

• Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. 

• Leadership skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate effectively, and foster a positive and productive work environment. 

Desired Qualifications: 

• IT Support and IT service frameworks, End User and device management. 

• Security and Compliance, understanding of best practices, experience of working closely with infosec departments. 

• Extensive experience with Cloud and on-prem Technologies across platforms, with primary focus on Microsoft 365.
