Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development efforts for U.S. Government opportunities, including military branches, federal agencies, and state agencies (e.g., National Guard).
- Identify, qualify, and pursue new government business opportunities through established and newly developed relationships.
- Develop and execute program capture plans, formulating winning strategies in alignment with industry best practices (e.g., Shipley, Holden, Target Account Selling).
- Manage complex U.S. Government proposal plans, including bid and proposal (B&P) costs. Lead color team reviews and assessments.
- Demonstrate expertise in government procurement processes, contract vehicles, and compliance, including CRADA, SBIR, STTR, and GSA procurement procedures.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (program management, engineering, production, and product management) to develop technical solutions that meet customer requirements.
- Conduct return-on-investment (ROI) analyses and develop competitive pricing strategies in coordination with executive leadership.
- Present to customers, partners, and executives, providing business development updates and insights during quarterly Capture Management Reviews.
- Engage with prospects, customers, and partners to identify needs and opportunities, working closely with sales teams and industry influencers to execute business development activities such as conferences and trade shows.
- Establish and maintain strong customer relationships, acting as a trusted advisor to identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field (MBA preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in U.S. Government business development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM platforms.
- Background in military, aerospace, or aviation industries is a plus.
Work Environment & Travel
- Domestic and occasional international travel required.
- Office-based role with in-person collaboration required.

Salary : $125,000 - $135,000
