Construction Technician – Fiber / Telecom (contract-to-hire)
6 Month Contract-to-Hire
Contact Hourly Rate - $25 / hr
Salary Conversion Range $50K
MUST have a valid Driver’s License
MUST be able to pass a background check, drug screen and DMV / driving record check
SUMMARY :
PRG has partnered with a rapidly growing ISP to help them identify and hire 8 technically savvy Construction Technicians to help manage the buildout of a new network.
The Construction Techs will be looking for current permits, PPE, customer issues, personnel issues, and other day to day items. Each Construction Tech will be assigned 3 separate (ISP / OSP) crews to ensure they are operating at 100% efficiency.
Responsibilities :
- Provide on-site coordination of fiber optic cabling, installation, modification, and splicing work performed by crew.
- Survey job sites to determine the best installation practices
- Coordinate workflow within the field, acting as company liaison
- Real time identification of punchlist items
- Ensure and maintain all company quality control and safety requirements
- Identify performance issues and recommend and implement corrective action
- Coordinate scheduling and ensure adequate crew capacity
- Perform quality control inspections and correct issues and complaints in real time
- Resolve complaints with property owners in areas where personnel are working
