Position Summary
A production technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining manufacturing equipment in a production facility, ensuring the smooth running of production lines by performing tasks like calibrating machines, monitoring quality control, troubleshooting issues and performing basic maintenance to maintain production targets and product quality standards. This position requires the ability to assemble, quality check the work and learn different variations of testing software to ensure the products meet the requirements of our clients. This role is also responsible for inventory accountability. The role is integral to ensuring efficient manufacturing workflows and adherence to quality and regulatory standards.
Essential Responsibilities
Assembly and Soldering Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical and electronic components according to technical specifications, schematics, and work instructions.
- Perform precision soldering tasks on printed circuit boards (PCBs) and other components, adhering to best industry practices and ensuring reliable connections.
- Inspect solder joints and completed assemblies for defects or inconsistencies, repairing and reworking as necessary to meet quality standards.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment effectively and safely.
Testing and Troubleshooting Responsibilities
Inventory Coordination Responsibilities
Education and Experience
1-3 years of experience in a production assembly role involving soldering.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Work is performed in a manufacturing or production environment with exposure to noise, dust, and temperature variations.
Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods during shifts.
