General Overview: The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations, including machining, assembly, testing, and maintenance, to ensure alignment with business goals. Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and profitability. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and manage cross-functional collaboration to resolve production issues. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards. Maintain a safe and efficient work environment while optimizing team performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee all production departments (Machining, Assembly, Test, Paint), as well as manufacturing engineering, maintenance, and facilities, to meet customer and business needs.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term manufacturing strategies focused on capacity, efficiency, and profitability, leveraging best practices and continuous improvement.
- Ensure manufacturing operations meet quality, cost, and compliance goals, while adhering to health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Responsible for holding employees accountable to the Company’s Safety Manual & conducts regular quarterly Safety and Process audits with the support of the HS&E team.
- Direct maintenance activities and coordinate with manufacturing to minimize downtime and optimize production performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and quality teams to troubleshoot issues and implement process improvements, ensuring alignment on company objectives.
- Spearhead method improvements, cost reduction projects, and initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Responsible for implementation and maintenance of the company’s Operations procedures, effective KPI reporting, and initiating Lean processes and continuous improvement.
- Maintain clear and open communication across departments and with employees to foster a safe and collaborative work environment.
- Perform other related duties and special projects as needed.
Educational and Other Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Operations Management. (preferred)
- Minimum two to four years work related skill, knowledge or experience.
- Knowledge of confidential information policies, procedures and regulations that governs employee and employer confidentiality.
- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, technical skill, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions.
- Knowledge in process flow and quality assurance. (Six sigma preferred)
- Experience with MRP (Material Requirements planning) preferred not required.
- Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning).
- Sensitive to confidential information
- Must work independently and as a member of a team
