Position Summary: Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, storage yard, or field Storage. Keep records and compile stock reports.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer.
- Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or field storages.
- Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors.
- Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas.
- Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment.
- Clean and maintain warehouse storage areas in order to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities.
- Keep records on the use and/or damage of stock or stock handling equipment.
- Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors.
- Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers.
- Performs other related duties as required.
Educational and Other Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum one to two years work related skill, knowledge, hands on experience or vocational training preferred.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
- Sensitive to confidential information.
- Must work independently and as a member of team.
Mental and Physical Requirements:
- Able to read, speak and write English.
- Strong physical and mental health to maintain demanding workload.
- Able to work under stressful conditions at times.
- Climbing - able to go up and down stairs.
- Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things.
- Position will consistently dictate 40 - 60 hours per week with frequent overtime demands based on the workload requirements.
- Position will require some (6) six day weeks when workload demands, with time off scheduled per current workload and other staff availability.

- Inspecting materials from deliveries to detect any damaged parts upon delivery.
