Pfefferle Management is the largest commercial property management provider in Wisconsin. We manage more than 200 commercial properties and 85 residential complexes throughout the state, with over 15 million square feet of real estate under our care and thousands of tenants and owners served.
The key to our success has been our team of field staff, made up of knowledgeable, customer service-oriented professionals. We self-perform most of our building services, including maintenance, landscaping, janitorial, and HVAC services. We are looking to add a painter to our team. We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality painting services in various settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of color theory and have experience in both residential and commercial painting projects. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Position Summary:
This position performs painting services in both our Residential Division assisting with apartment turnovers and the Commercial Division for improvement projects.
Responsibilities:
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, scraping, patching holes or cracks to ensure a smooth and uniform finish preparation including masking and covering areas not intended for painting.
Identify and troubleshoot any issues related to surface preparation or paint application and implement effective solutions to minimize delays or disruptions.
Apply paint and other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, and sprayers, ensuring proper coverage and consistency.
Inspect surfaces for imperfections drips or uneven coverage and make necessary touch ups or adjustments to maintain high quality standards.
Maintain and clean painting equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
Communicate effectively with team members to understand project requirements, provide progress updates and address concerns or issues that may arise.
Use CMMS software to record accurate records of materials used hours worked and tasks completed for billing and reporting purposes.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
2 Years of experience in the professional painting field.
Strong attention to detail and quality craftsmanship.
Self-starter who can work individually or as part of a team.
Proper phone etiquette and customer service skills.
Ability to maintain a positive attitude.
Willingness to adapt to the needs of the company.
Demonstrate timeliness when working on projects and tasks
Technical Requirements:
Ability to use a computer, tablet & smartphone.
Ability to text & use email and use payroll and CMMS apps.
Ability to operate a company vehicle in a safe manner.
Be proficient with all standard tools of the job.
Knowledge in professional painting techniques and materials.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing for long periods of time.
Ability to use ladders.
Ability to crouch and work overhead for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift 50 lbs.
Ability to visually differentiate between paint colors.
