Description
To serve the undergraduate admission office as an admissions counselor and participate as part of the overall Enrollment team. Recruit students, perform counseling, external outreach and application review are all significant functions of this position. This position will serve as a key team member of the admissions department and represent Pfeiffer in a positive manner at all times.
Full Time, 12 month
Represent the University on and off campus to prospective students, parents, secondary school counselors and other individuals or organizations involved in the college selection process
- Attend local and regional college fairs and high schools
- Plan and implement recruitment activities for assigned high schools and territories, including travel in assigned territories
- Counsel prospective applicants on the admissions process and opportunities at the University
- Conduct one-on-one admissions counseling sessions via in person appointments, phone calls, emails and texts
- Review files submitted by applicants for the purposes of making admissions decisions
- Execute the prescribed communication plan by assigned student groups
- Will work in a team atmosphere to work towards meeting/exceeding enrollment goals, to craft and tell the Pfeiffer story and to offer co-worker support during peak season when time permits.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- Ability to travel to various location with some light lifting to load and transport admission materials, displays and other equipment
- Some evening and weekend hours required, especially during travel season
- Strong cross-cultural interpersonal and writing skills are necessary, including public speaking skills and the ability to present the University in a positive way to diverse populations
- Ability to represent Pfeiffer University and the admissions profession positively
