Location : Nor-Cal Products, Inc. dba Pfeiffer Vacuum Valves & Engineering (Pfeiffer Vacuum V&E)
FLSA Status : Non-Exempt
Shift : Monday - Friday (7 : 00 AM - 3 : 30 PM)
SUMMARY
Responsible for planning production schedules for a defined segment of a manufacturing operation of moderate to high diversification. Schedules the production of parts, assemblies or tooling required by the ERP demands on a daily basis. Issues work orders to the Manufacturing shop floor; closely monitors daily activity and tracks progress towards On Time Delivery. Coordinates timely and efficient flow of materials, parts and assemblies between, and / or within various work centers. Exercises little discretionary, independent judgment in performing job duties; relies on more experienced Planners for day-to-day planning direction

Duties
- Works directly on shop floor to ensure that production moves through appropriate manufacturing processes in a timely manner.
- Moves products from station to station when necessary.
- Completes all appropriate routers and other documentation as required.
- Works with ERP data system to determine current production priorities.
- Ability to work in simple flat BOMs in order to produce product in line with and in time for customer needs.
- Works with Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality Assurance, Customer Service, Marketing and Sales, as necessary, in order to resolve production problems.
- Support other department’s objectives and goals as necessary.

60% shop-floor production areas, and 40% noise and temperature-controlled office environment; walking / standing on hard surfaces 6-8 hours per day. Routine lifting, carrying and pushing up to 50 lbs. and occasionally up to 75 lbs. with assistance; safety glasses and hearing protection required on shop-floor.
Tasks require walking, sitting, bending, reaching, mobility, frequent lifting and pushing / pulling. Work requires computer skills (word processing, spreadsheet, and data-entry), attention to detail and accuracy. Communication skills including listening and speaking are required for interaction with other employees, vendors, and customers. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to balance multiple tasks and any stress associated with the duties and responsibilities of this position are essential requirements in the performance of this job.
Secondary duties with added requirements may be assigned from time to time.

General Qualifications
Education and / or Experience
High School Diploma and any combination of education, training and experience equivalent to college level coursework that would provide the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job.
Minimum 12-months production manufacturing environment experience; with additional 6-months Expediting, Planning or Scheduling experience.
Language Skills
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Mathematical Skills
Basic mathematics skills.
Reasoning Ability
Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with quickly changing work priorities, and with minimal interaction to complete assignments on time.
