Schedule : Sunday through Saturday (Dispatch between 8pm - 2am)
Pay : Minimum weekly guarantee of $1540 with an average annual salary of $80-$90; Bi-Weekly pay frequency

Position Purpose :

Food and food service delivery drivers are essential to the country's food supply chain. As a delivery driver, you'll ensure timely arrival of customer products while representing our company and building lasting relationships with customers.

The Class A CDL Driver is responsible for operating a tractor trailer or straight truck for intrastate and interstate routes, delivering and unloading food and food-related products as per Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations in a safe and timely manner.

Primary Responsibilities :

Engage professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, ensuring accurate and timely responses to inquiries.

Collaborate as a team member within the department and organization, performing any assigned duties to best serve the company.

Execute all safety checks (pre / post trip) and inspections of vehicle to meet company safety standards.

Report safety issues and required repairs promptly.

Adhere to all DOT regulations and company driving guidelines.

Immediately address safety hazards and ensure cargo is secured.

Perform count checks of items and verify customer invoices upon loading.

Accurately complete required paperwork associated with freight.

Position tractor at loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed.

Drives on established routes to deliver customer orders in accordance with the delivery schedule.

Unload products, transporting items to designated storage locations at customer sites.

Conduct damage control checks, scan items, and consult supervisor on order removals per company policy.

Confirm delivery of items with customers and secure necessary signatures.

Collect payment (cash or checks) when required, and load customer returns back onto trailer.

Ensure secure locking of tractor, trailer, and freight at all times.

Unload damaged goods and customer returns, complete necessary paperwork, and maintain cleanliness in trailers and loading dock areas.

Keep a daily record of hours of service in compliance with Federal DOT and company requirements.

Complete other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

Required Experience :

0-12 months of commercial driving experience.

Required Qualifications :

High School Diploma / GED or equivalent; Valid CDL-A; Must be at least 21 years old; Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years; Must pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check; Pass a road test; Obtain or hold a valid DOT Health Card; Must be able to lift and move products ranging from 10-90 pounds.
