The Entry Level CDL Driver Trainee position at PFG Customized involves assisting experienced drivers in delivering food and service products while undergoing training to operate tractor trailers. This entry-level role includes safety checks, route planning, customer interactions, and maintaining delivery schedules, ensuring high-quality service to customers.
As an Entry Level CDL Driver Trainee, you will be responsible for performing all required safety checks, including inspections of the tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. You will also be responsible for communicating and interacting with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
In addition to your daily tasks, you will also be responsible for driving to and delivering customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedules. You will unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and perform damage control checks on items.
