Job Description
The Driver Trainee position is an entry-level opportunity for individuals to gain experience in food and service delivery while supporting America's food distribution system. As a driver trainee, you will assist experienced drivers with deliveries, ensure safe operation of vehicles, and maintain customer relationships through professional interactions.
Responsibilities
Our driver trainees are responsible for completing safety checks, following DOT regulations, and performing general delivery duties. This includes inspecting tractor/trucks and trailers to ensure they meet company safety standards, reporting all safety issues and/or repairs required, and following all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent, meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable), and possess a clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years. You must also pass a post-offer drug test and criminal background check, and hold a valid current DOT Health Card and/or be able to secure a new one.
