Driver Trainee at PFG
The Driver Trainee position involves acquiring knowledge to operate tractor trailers while gaining experience in food delivery. Trainees assist experienced drivers with routes and customer interactions, ensuring products are delivered safely and on time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist seasoned drivers with deliveries and route execution.
- Perform pre/post trip safety checks on tractors/trucks and trailers according to DOT regulations.
- Report all safety issues and/or repairs required.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
Job Description Overview:
As a Driver Trainee, you will learn and gain experience in hauling freight and operating tractor trailers while assisting designated driver trainers with their deliveries and routes. You will communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally, ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- Must be 21 years of age
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
