What are the responsibilities and job description for the Logistics Coordinator position at PFG Customized?
About the Role:
This position is an excellent opportunity to join PFG Customized Distribution as a Shuttle Driver. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer and/or straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes to pick up logistics' loads and deliver them to PFG warehouse locations in a safe and timely manner.
The Shuttle Driver plays a critical role in supporting America's food distribution system by performing essential work. This includes delivering assigned loads back to PFG warehouse locations for receiving into inventory, performing load and paperwork inspections, and checking and completing all required paperwork associated with backhaul operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive to assigned supplier/vendor and/or PFG warehouse locations according to a predetermined route and delivery schedule.
- Deliver assigned loads back to PFG warehouse locations for receiving into inventory.
- Perform appropriate load and paperwork inspections including but not limited to product counts, invoices of products that have been loaded, quality checks and other related items as required.
- Check and complete in an accurate and legible fashion all the required paperwork associated with backhaul operations.
Requirements:
- A valid CDL A license.
- 0-12 months commercial driving experience.
- Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout shift.
