Job Overview
PFG Customized Distribution is seeking a highly motivated and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Driver Trainee. As an entry-level driver, you will assist designated driver trainers with food and service deliveries while completing a comprehensive training program.
This role requires effective communication with customers, adherence to safety regulations, and a strong commitment to ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist designated driver trainers with deliveries and routes
- Perform all required safety checks, including pre/post trip inspections, according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Inspect trailers for properly loaded and secured freight, perform count checks, and verify customer invoices
- Complete all required paperwork accurately and efficiently
- Deliver products to customers in a professional and courteous manner
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- Ability to attain CDL Permit and DOT Health Card
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check
- Valid current DOT Health Card and/or ability to secure new DOT Health Card
