As a Transportation Trainee, you will be responsible for assisting experienced drivers in executing deliveries and learning the essential skills required for food delivery and freight hauling.

Job Description
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assisting driver trainers with deliveries and routes;
- Performing all required safety checks (i.e., pre/post trip) according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations;
- Inspecting tractor/truck and trailer to ensure they meet company safety standards and taking appropriate action as needed;
- Reporting all safety issues and/or repairs required;
- Following all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent. Internal candidates must have 1 year of service in good standing as outlined in the PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program. External entry-level hires must have a Valid CDL Permit and be able to attain a CDL License. A clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years is also required.
