Job Summary:
The Driver Trainee position involves gaining experience in operating tractor trailers while learning the intricacies of food delivery. Trainees assist seasoned drivers with routes and customer interactions, ensuring products are delivered safely and on time. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist driver trainers with deliveries and routes
- Perform all required safety checks, including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Report all safety issues and/or repairs required
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- Internal Candidates: 1 year of service in good standing as outlined in the PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program
- External Entry Level Hire: 0-6 months with a Valid CDL Permit
