Summary
To get product ready for shipment and properly load the trucks. Receive incoming product while managing both Fabrication Plant and Assembly Plant stockrooms.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform the following Stock Room / S & R functions:
Comprehend & follow directions
Use proficient computer skills and be able to learn other special software as required to complete assigned responsibilities.
Create shipping labels and complete shipping documents.
Be accountable for all components / parts entering and leaving the stock rooms, and the tracking of all stock room inventory.
Communicate and assist with Purchasing and Inventory Control on a regular basis.

- create part numbers and bin locations
- evaluate inventory usage: additions and deletions
Transport parts and components between plants.
Know and use shipping documents such as: orders, bills of ladings, packing slips, RGA’s, and material transfers.

Check to make sure proper paperwork and product coincides before shipping.
Perform proper packaging techniques, per customer specifications.

Load and unload LTL and Contract Carrier Trucks, including the organization and accountability of equipment being accounted, for finished loads.
Receive shipments for A/P on a daily (timely) basis.
Operate hand and power tools.

Ability to handle and address deficiencies identified through cycle counts or process break downs.
Implement continuous improvement activity within role.
Check stock to ensure inventory is replenished
Perform routine housekeeping.
Assist co-workers as needed.
Perform extra assignments in other areas and related task assignments in the work area.
Continually participate in additional training related to the job.
Regular, consistent attendance.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally expected to work in high precarious places. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and outdoor weather conditions. The employee is regularly exposed to vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, hear, talk, lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with a hoist or lift available, repetitively use right and left foot to control, repetitively use right and left hand for firm/heavy grasping, and repetitively use right/left hand for fine dexterity. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, and repetitively use right and left hand for simple/light grasping. The employee is regularly required to use hand to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Specific hearing abilities required by this job include the ability to hear customers, alarms of equipment, and to hear instructions from others.
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or a general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Training, Certifications, Licenses
Fork truck Licenses required. (Will certify on location.)
Protective Equipment
Steel toe shoes, safety glasses and seatbelt when driving are mandatory.
